Play Gaelic Games was established by two guys with a passion for all things Irish together with a massive interest in sport. Joe and Michael have been playing these games for as long as they can remember. Feeling that these unique games deserved a wider audience and having seen the thousands of visitors who come to Ireland every year, Play Gaelic Games was born.
Joe, a native of Clare (the currently All-Ireland Hurling Champions, he loves to brag!), is a hurling specialist. Growing up in a family of five boys and one girl, his younger days were spent with a hurley and ball in the front lawn playing the game of hurling. Nowadays, Joe still plays hurling in Clare with his local team Clooney Quin. Following a lifetime of playing the game, Joe is well placed to impart all the skills of the game to participants.
Michael, a native of West Cork, is a Gaelic Football expert. West Cork is steeped in Gaelic Football tradition and Michael has been fascinated by the game from a young age. Michael currently plays with his local club Ilen Rovers in West Cork. Michael brings this enthusiasm and love for the game to each session, allowing participants to understand and enjoy the fast paced, physical and skillful game of Gaelic Football.
